Short Bio
Samuel Lodato is an independent filmmaker known for his mockumentary Remi Milligan: Lost Director (2024). This film not only blurs the lines between fiction and reality but also explores the mysterious disappearance of a fictional b-movie filmmaker through fabricated interviews and media. Additionally, his filmography includes Frank’s Inertia (2013) and Gammon Steak and Peas (2015), both showcasing his talent for genre-blurring indie storytelling.
Beyond filmmaking, Samuel actively works as a content designer and content design manager. He has collaborated with various clients, such as NHS clinics, Intel, and BT. With 15 years of experience across multiple industries—including digital, print, publishing, and marketing—he effectively combines his diverse skills to deliver comprehensive content, video, and web solutions. This approach greatly enhances the visual and thematic impact of his projects.
In addition to filmmaking, Lodato authored The Places and People Between London and Sicily (2009), a novella that thoughtfully reflects on his personal experiences and cultural ties between the two regions. Recently, he completed a novel manuscript titled London Boy, which he plans to publish after promoting Remi Milligan. This upcoming work aligns closely with his cinematic style by blending personal reflection with creative storytelling. Moreover, he founded Lodato Studios, a production company that aims to innovate within both arthouse and commercial cinema.
